Emily Costello

With 10 years in the industry, Emily has undergone extensive training with companies such as Aveda, Bumble & Bumble, and Sassoon. Emily specializes in haircutting, with a firm belief that a strong foundation and understanding of each client's lifestyle will provide the best customized look for them.  When Emily is not at X, it's because they're traveling the country working as the Creative Director for X (EDU X) , sharing knowledge and the appreciation of their craft.

Emily is a non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns.  A genuine INTJ, they prefer to spend days off with a cup of coffee and their two cats, dreaming up personal editorial projects such as Anima / Animus. Above all, they have one goal: to breathe fresh life into the haircutting community.

Emily's haircut prices are $125, please note that they take clients Thursdays - Sundays only.

Ashley Miele

Our Editorial Director, Ashley, considers herself to a be a multi faceted hairstylist. She thrives in the editorial, wedding, and formal styling world - but is also capable of giving you the avant-garde hair cut & color that you didn't know you needed. She graduated from the Aveda Institute in Denver, Colorado, and has worked closely with Aveda Advanced Academy's former Artistic Director, Jon Reyman. With several NYFW shows under her belt, some top names include: Oscar De La Renta, Betsey Johnson, and Reem Acra.

When she isn’t hanging around at X, Ashley loves traveling, vintage shops, vegetarian restaurants, and most importantly playing with her adorable son, Natas.

Jaclyn Lisberger

Jaclyn (or Jackie, as her friends call her), graduated from The George Washington University, summa cum laude, with a dual degree in English and Speech and Hearing Science. She then continued on to obtain her Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, working as an SLP for 5 years. After much contemplating, she decided to take a creative career turn, enrolling in (and completing) cosmetology training at Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in Philadelphia.

Specializing in balayage and hair painting techniques, she is a detail oriented person who wants to create the most uniquely hand crafted haircut, color, and style for every single person who sits in her chair.

Jackie is a multidimensional individual who has a unique talent to make everyone around her feel joyful. Her outside interests include spending as much time as possible with her friends and family, while enjoying a great cup of coffee on the beach.

Jordan Hamje

Moving from Reading, PA to Philadelphia just two years ago, Jordan has been able to create an outlet for her craft in the city of Brotherly Love. Inspired by abstract art and architecture, Jordan loves to create haircuts that have a sound structure and require minimal styling.

Attending vocational school in highschool, Jordan began her career at the age of 14. She has since then trained with both Aveda and Allilon, and is currently an educator for EDU X.

When she isn't teaching or cutting hair, she is hanging out with her son Liam while they eat thai food, enjoy the great outdoors, and people watch in the city.

Adam Messer

Adam's journey started by attending the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis. After working several years in the salon, they returned to AIM, but this time as an educator. During this period, Adam split their time working as both a stylist and an educator.

Adam is passionate about mentoring, as well as sharing the belief that education is essential to developing a strong foundation. In 2017, Adam turned what started as a light hearted comment into reality. They relocated from Minneapolis to join the team at X.

Adam has trained with Aveda, The Kingly Hairgroup, and Allilon, which has majorly influenced their passion about working closely with clients, tailoring their approach based upon the individual. Adam enjoys creating short, structured haircuts, but ultimately thrives on the ability to bring out the client's personality.

Adam is fond of minimalism, bold architecture, and juxtaposition. When not taking clients at X, or teaching for EDU X, they enjoy traveling, coffee, and hanging with their cat (Totoro Catbus).

Hailing from Philadelphia, Lola is an aspiring stylist with a background in the fine arts. Prior to receiving their training at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute, they studied sculpture at Moore College of Art & Design. Lola’s passion for creativity and collaboration drew them to pursue a career in the hair industry.

When not at X, Lola enjoys reading, collecting house plants, and hanging with their dogs & cat.

Please note, Lola is currently accepting hair models at X. If you are a student with zero hair limitations and you'd like to participate, please contact us via email to inquire.
