Emily Costello

With 10 years in the industry, Emily has undergone extensive training with companies such as Aveda, Bumble & Bumble, and Sassoon. Emily specializes in haircutting, with a firm belief that a strong foundation and understanding of each client's lifestyle will provide the best customized look for them.  When Emily is not at X, it's because they're traveling the country working as the Creative Director for X (EDU X) , sharing knowledge and the appreciation of their craft.

Em is a non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns.  A genuine INTJ, they prefer to spend days off with a cup of coffee and their two cats, dreaming up personal editorial projects such as Anima / Animus. Above all, they have one goal: to breathe fresh life into the haircutting community.

Emily's haircut prices are $125, please note that they take clients Thursdays - Sundays only.

Kyle Grace

A Mid-West transplant, Kyle has been living and working in Philadelphia for 5 years. Whether it be through a unique haircut, or delicately placed waves, Kyle is on a mission to ensure that whoever is sitting in their chair leaves expressing themselves in a style specifically catered to them.

Kyle's haircut schedule has limited availability as they spend the majority of their time at X making sure everything is running as smoothly as possible.

Kyle is a true-to Aquarius, who enjoys large crowds, playing the piano & singing for their dog, scary movie marathons, and Friends - both the show and the real ones!

Ashley Brown

Our Editorial Director, Ashley, considers herself to a be a multi faceted hairstylist. She thrives in the editorial, wedding, and formal styling world - but is also capable of giving you the avant-garde hair cut & color that you didn't know you needed. She graduated from the Aveda Institute in Denver, Colorado, and has worked closely with Aveda Advanced Academy's former Artistic Director, Jon Reyman. With several NYFW shows under her belt, some top names include: Oscar De La Renta, Betsey Johnson, and Reem Acra.

When she isn’t hanging around at X, Ashley loves traveling, vintage shops, vegetarian restaurants, and most importantly playing with her adorable son, Natas.

Jaclyn Lisberger

Jaclyn (or Jackie, as her friends call her), graduated from The George Washington University, summa cum laude, with a dual degree in English and Speech and Hearing Science. She then continued on to obtain her Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology, working as an SLP for 5 years. After much contemplating, she decided to take a creative career turn, enrolling in (and completing) cosmetology training at Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in Philadelphia.

Specializing in balayage and hair painting techniques, she is a detail oriented person who wants to create the most uniquely hand crafted haircut, color, and style for every single person who sits in her chair.

Jackie is a multidimensional individual who has a unique talent to make everyone around her feel joyful. Her outside interests include spending as much time as possible with her friends and family, while enjoying a great cup of coffee on the beach.

Jordan Hamje

Moving from Reading, PA to Philadelphia just two years ago, Jordan has been able to create an outlet for her craft in the city of Brotherly Love. Inspired by abstract art and architecture, Jordan loves to create haircuts that have a sound structure and require minimal styling.

Attending vocational school in highschool, Jordan began her career at the age of 14. She has since then trained with both Aveda and Allilon, and is currently an educator for EDU X.

When she isn't teaching or cutting hair, she is hanging out with her son Liam while they eat thai food, enjoy the great outdoors, and people watch in the city.

Adam Messer

A recent Minneapolis transplant with a work history that includes teaching at The Aveda Institute, Adam believes that education is essential in order to create an unshakeable foundation. With this in mind, they've joined the team at X to further expand and develop their skills.

Adam thoroughly enjoys creating short, detail oriented haircuts and ultimately, bringing out your personality. Adam views your appointment as a collaboration, taking the time necessary to ensure that you receive a result customized to your needs.

Adam travels home monthly to take clients while continuing their education training at X, resulting in a more condensed schedule.  Adam is seeking out the best coffee, pizza, and donuts that Philly has to offer and they would love your recommendations!

Hailing from Philadelphia, Lola is an aspiring stylist with a background in the fine arts. Prior to receiving their training at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute, they studied sculpture at Moore College of Art & Design. Lola’s passion for creativity and collaboration drew them to pursue a career in the hair industry.

When not at X, Lola enjoys reading, collecting house plants, and hanging with their dogs & cat.

Please note, Lola is currently accepting hair models at X. If you are a student with zero hair limitations and you'd like to participate, please contact us via email to inquire.
